The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) notes that a number of our valued clients have not honoured tax obligations to:
- Register for the relevant tax heads such as Income Tax, PAYE and VAT
- Submit tax returns by due dates
- Pay tax by due dates
- Submit accurate and complete declarations.
In order to assist clients who have not been able to comply with these statutory requirements, ZIMRA will be carrying out follow-ups with effect from 21st August 2018 throughout the country to check on compliance with the above-mentioned obligations.
ZIMRA would appreciate if the clients who have not yet complied can voluntarily attend to the outstanding tax obligations before the follow-ups. The Commissioner General has already offered to consider waivers on penalties for those who voluntarily comply.
Tax returns need to be completed in full and be submitted on time through the ZIMRA e-services platform http://efiling.zimra.co.zw. In the event that you experience challenges with the system, please submit copies to the nearest ZIMRA office. ZIMRA is aware of system accessibility challenges on the e-services portal especially during peak periods and is working on addressing these.
