The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) will host the second edition of the Taxpayer Appreciation Day in September, to honour clients who consistently meet their tax obligations on time and with minimum intervention from the Revenue Authority.

The day, which was commissioned last year by the then Acting President Amai Joice Mujuru, saw a total of 51 clients receiving awards under various categories on September 30, 2011.

Running under the theme, “National economic development through efficient tax systems” to recognise the quintessential role that tax revenue plays in Zimbabwe’s economy, this year’s commemorations are expected to appreciate the contribution being made by taxpayers to the fiscus.
