In a televised interview with Mr Billiat Magara on Economic Forum –a weekly programme run on ZBC TV - Commissioner General Pasi assured the nation that ZIMRA will be a virtual tax office by 2022.

“We now have gone into e-banking where clients don't need to come to our offices but can go to a bank or can use their cell-phones to process their Tax and Customs payments,” said Mr Pasi.

In pursuit of its grand vision to revolutionise revenue administration by using e-Taxes and e-Customs, ZIMRA has introduced e-banking and real-time banking for the convenience of its clients; scanners to reduce clearance times; Systems Applications Product for revenue, human resource, fleet, finance and general management; as well as ASYCUDA World for online lodgement of bills.

In addition, the use of the website, Facebook, Twitter and other digital channels to connect with clients has positioned ZIMRA as a unique organisation with an insatiable appetite for technology and improvement of client convenience.
