Members of the public are being advised that touts, commonly known as amaguma-guma or maguma-guma, fleece travellers at ports of entry and exit by resorting to rent-seeking and corrupt activities. Some of these touts are part of corruption syndicates.

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is, therefore, advising the public that it does not tolerate corruption and any illegal activities which destroy the economy. ZIMRA has, thus, intensified its fight against corruption and touting at all its stations.

As ZIMRA, we do not employ or serve touts at any of our ports of entry or exit. Only genuine travellers with passports will be served. Service is strictly rendered on a “first come, first served” basis.  Please note that it is your right to report to the Station Manager at the respective station if this rule is not being observed.
