ZIMRA automates the banking system for the benefit of its clients
The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority would like to advise its valued clients that it is going through a banking system upgrade in an endeavour to improve its service delivery. The project will result in the banks being linked on line and real time to ZIMRA’s systems. This will enable clients to get payment confirmation immediately, whilst they are still at the bank. The confirmation will come in the form of a hard copy receipt, SMS message and an e-mail message. All the receipted amounts are directly posted to the client’s Business Partner Account for Domestic Taxes and Prepayment Account for Customs Duty and Excise in the Revenue Authority systems. The project is currently at a pilot stage with two participating banks, namely Kingdom Bank and CBZ Bank. Once the pilot phase is completed, it is envisaged that all banks in Zimbabwe will then be connected in phases. The bank accounts that are currently in use for the pilot project are:
