24 hour service is introduced at Beitbridge Border Post

Kurima House Payment office is opened in Harare

Satellite payment offices opened in Gwanda, Hwange, Chinhoyi, Bindura,  Marondera and Karoi

Refurbishment works at Beitbridge, Nyamapanda and Victoria Falls

Systems Applications Products (SAP) is introduced

Construction of Chirundu flats for members of staff is completed

Scanner technology (baggage scanner)  is introduced at ports of entry/exit

The Loss Control Division is formed

VAT replaces Sales Tax

Direct banking system is introduced
