Masters degree in fiscal studies established

 

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST), in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) have established a Masters of Science degree in Fiscal Studies to be offered during the 2010/2011 academic calendar. This is part of ZIMRA’s efforts to expand knowledge in Tax and Customs administration. In 2006, ZIMRA and NUST introduced the Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Fiscal Studies which initially targeted ZIMRA members of staff but was opened up to the public in 2007.

 

 
Environmental protection key to tourism survival

A call was made for every Zimbabwean to be sensitive to the ecosystem through their actions .This was said by the Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Honourable Francis Nhema in a statement at the recently held tourism breakfast meeting.

 
ZIMRA supports tourism revival initiatives

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority joined the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality, the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, other  corporate bodies and interested stakeholders in launching the tourism month on September 1, 2010 by cleaning the streets and bus termini of Harare..

 
ZIMRA commemorates nine years of service
The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) turned nine on September 1, 2010. ZIMRA became effective in January 2001 as a successor organisation to the then Department of Taxes and the Department of Customs and Excise following the promulgation of the Revenue Authority Act [Chapter 23:11] on February 11, 2000.
