ZIMRA Surpasses Revenue Target

The Commissioner General, Management and Staff of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) are pleased to inform the Nation that the revenue target for 2010 was surpassed, thanks to the overwhelming support from various quarters. Collections were in excess of US$2 Billion for the year.

Minister announces 2011 National Budget
Finance Minister Honourable Tendai Biti announced a US$2.7 billion 2011 National Budget statement on November 25, 2010. The budget theme was “Shared Economy, Shared Development, Shared Transformation – “Creating the Fair Economy. In the statement, the Minister announced the tax proposals for 2011.


Early Christmas for Ivordale

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) Human Resources and Administration Division donated generously to Ivordale Celebrated Children’s Home on Saturday November 5, 2010 as part of its annual social responsibility programme to the home which has since been adopted by ZIMRA.

ZIMRA increases heat on smugglers

Smugglers keep on devising new methods to try and beat the system but recent incidents have shown that the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) is up to the task and is determined to curb this underground activity. The continued interception of smuggled goods by the Authority has boosted the confidence of policy makers as calls to thwart nefarious economic activities reach a high crescendo.

SFAAZ elects new management board

The Shipping and Forwarding Agents’ Association of Zimbabwe (SFAAZ) elected a new management board on October 28, 2010. The Chief Executive Officer of SFAAZ, Mr Joseph Musariri, confirmed the new board in a letter to the ZIMRA Commissioner General, Mr GT Pasi.
