Fiscal studies programme hailed for relevance, scope

Twenty seven (27) Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) officers graduated under the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree in Fiscal Studies at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) recently.

ZIMRA urges clearing agents to renew licences

The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has urged clearing agents to renew their licences for the year 2011 by October 31, 2010.This licence renewal is done in terms of Section 33 of the Customs and Excise (General) Regulations, 2001 as read with Section 216A (7) of the Customs and Excise Act [Chapter 23:02].

ZIMRA shines at 2010 Agricultural shows


The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), once again, shone like a beacon of excellence as it scooped the third prize in its respective category, starving off stiff competition in the Manicaland Agricultural Show held from September 30-October 2, 2010.


Summit acknowledges role of SAP in revenue management

Revenue authorities have hailed the relief that Systems Applications Products (SAP) - a unique software package with Enterprise Resource Planning capabilities - has brought to revenue accounting and management.

Masters degree in fiscal studies established


The National University of Science and Technology (NUST), in collaboration with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) have established a Masters of Science degree in Fiscal Studies to be offered during the 2010/2011 academic calendar. This is part of ZIMRA’s efforts to expand knowledge in Tax and Customs administration. In 2006, ZIMRA and NUST introduced the Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Fiscal Studies which initially targeted ZIMRA members of staff but was opened up to the public in 2007.
